Odyssey is driven by a team of highly qualified and well-experienced early childhood educators that embodies Odyssey’s mission and core values. The highly effective teaching team in each of our classes comprises a Curriculum Specialist, a Chinese Language Teacher and an English-speaking teacher. All Curriculum Specialists are qualified, experienced educators with a Teaching Diploma. At each of our campuses, you will be able to see how the teaching team applies innovation, warmth and creativity to help every child develop into a creative and confident learner. Collectively, the leadership team is accountable for the development, supervision and management of the Odyssey programme for children, teachers and parents. Special attention is given to the development and implementation of the Odyssey curriculum and pedagogy, and creating conducing learning environments.
Designation: Director of Schools
As Director of Schools , Kelly led a team of educators to pioneer the first Odyssey campus in 2008. Driven by a strong passion in curriculum design, research and innovation, she is a strong advocate of the Reggio Emilia curricula that recognizes children as competent and active learners.
Kelly has over 20 years of experience in the early childhood industry and holds a Masters degree in Early Childhood Education from Wheelock College, Boston.
Designation: Centre Director (Setia Eco Park)
Having spent 13 years in Australia and with combined 18 years of experience in business, leadership training and the Early Childhood Education industry, Petulia is driven by a vision to lead and raise a generation of children who will become influential and respectful adults in the society. Petulia recognises Odyssey as a school of the 21st Century and finds tremendous joy and fulfilment in teaching and nurturing the hearts and minds of young children.
As Centre Director at Odyssey Setia Eco Park, Petulia actively demonstrates leadership and works closely with parents and her team of educators to ensure each child is cared for and provided with boundless learning opportunities.
Petulia holds Degrees in Social Sciences at Curtin University and Business Administration at Murdoch University from Perth, Western Australia.
Designation: Senior Programme Specialist
As Senior Programme Specialist, Yvette works closely with Chinese Language teachers and is involved in areas mentoring, curriculum development, and training.
She aspires to discover more ways to make learning Chinese enjoyable for the children, and to nurture all Chinese Language teachers to think of innovative ways of instilling a love for Chinese.
Yvette holds a Bachelor of Social Science in Children and Family Study from Edith Cowen University, Australia.
Designation: Programme Specialist
'When I walk along with two others, they may serve me as my teachers. I will select their good qualities and follow them.' Shi Juan has always been inspired by the analects of Confucius and believes that educators need to be have good attributes that children can model.
As a Chinese Programme Specialist, she works closely with the Chinese teachers in areas of curriculum planning, training and mentoring. She aspires for her children to be confident users of the Chinese language and use Chinese as a tool of communication.
Shi Juan attained her degree from Beijing Normal University, China and majored in Chinese Language & Literature. She is also holds a WSQ Advanced Certificate in Training and Assessment.
Designation: Senior Programme Specialist
As a Senior Programme Specialist, Rebecca works closely with teachers and curriculum mentors in areas of mentoring, staff training and development. In 2008, she was awarded the Outstanding Teacher Award by ECDA for her active role and contribution as a mentor in this field.
It gives her joy to leave a positive impact on a teacher’s life, who become motivated to teach and work with young children.
Rebecca holds Masters of Education in Early Childhood from Queensland University of Technology, Australia.

Patrick’s philosophy towards early childhood education is simple. He shares the belief that all children are competent, articulate and self-sufficient and the environment- including parents, teachers and classroom, is key to a child’s development.
He has worked with both children and teachers to become confident speakers, creative thinkers and innovative learners. Through mentoring and training of educators, he aims to bring out the potential in these professionals to nurture the same in children.
Patrick has been in the early childhood industry for over 15 years and holds qualification in Speech and Drama from Guildhall School of Music and Drama, Trinity College and London College of Music. He graduated with an Honours Degree in Early Childhood Education with the University of Wales, UK.

Idayu has been in the early childhood industry since 2001 and is driven by the belief that every child is unique and has a desire to learn. As an educator, she aims to provide a positive, meaningful, and conducive environment for children to develop to their fullest potential.
She believes that while children may be young, allowing their voices to be heard will empower them to become a key change agent and make a positive impact to both the children and adults around them. Idayu holds a Bachelor of Arts in Early Childhood Education from the University of Wales.
Specialist Teachers in the areas of Art and Music form a key part of the versatile team in Odyssey. All our specialists are experts in their individual fields, bringing with them a wealth of expertise and experience to provide children with rich aesthetic experiences for creative and holistic development.
