Odyssey is proud to announce we will be having our first flagship event, Colours of Odyssey, at Penang State Museum and Art Gallery on 1st and 2nd August as part of the George Town Festival 2015.

Launched in 2009 in Singapore, Colours of Odyssey is children art exhibition that provides a platform for Odyssey’s preschoolers to explore their creative expressions and to develop social awareness and compassion. The event is part of Odyssey’s curriculum designed around the Reggio Emilia approach, which focuses on the importance of the environment, the community, and free inquiry as its primary values.

This is the first time that the George Town Festival will showcase works by children aged 6 and below.

This year’s exhibition, titled ‘Colours of Odyssey: Perspectives, Penang through the Eyes of the Children’, will document the aesthetic development of Odyssey’s children as they express their view of Penang through their artistic interpretations. All proceeds from the sale of artworks will be donated to UNICEF. Through this exhibition, we hope to showcase children’s unique interpretations of the world, as well as develop the spirit of philanthropy from young.
